Korea Fellowship for Korean Language Training - Fully Funded

Since 1993, the Korea Foundation has been offering fellowship programs each year for the Korean language training(KLT) program for the purpose of general promotion of the Korean language, which is also known as the basis of promoting Korean studies and Korea-related activities globally. Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants who are majoring in Korean studies (social sciences, humanities, and culture & arts) and have current involvement in Korea-related research are eligible to apply
2. Applicant must be able to speak and understand the Korean language at least at a basic level
3. For MA / Ph.D candidates: Applicants should be doing a degree majoring or minoring in a Korea-related field also with the detailed thesis proposal on a Korea-related topic
4.  For university professors, lecturers, and researchers candidates: Applicants should be teaching Korean language or Korean related courses and researchers should be doing Korea-related research
5. For professional candidates: Any professional who is engaged in Korea-related activities are eligible to apply
6. Undergraduate students and Former Diplomats are also eligible to apply, but there are some conditions that they should be followed. Conditions can be seen HERE
7. Applicants should have very good academic performance
8. Applicants should be willing to travel to South Korea

Please keep in mind:

1. Please note that the applicant with the following conditions is not eligible to apply:
2. Applicants should not be Korean citizens
3. Applicants who are already doing research or studying in Korea are not eligible to apply
4. Applicants who are planning to enroll in a degree program at a higher educational institution in Korea
5. Applicants who have got the opportunity of the KF Fellowship for Korean Language Training within the last 2 years
6. Applicants cannot register for the degree program at a Korean University during the fellowship period.
